Stage Kids Classes

Theater fun starts here!

Stage Kids WA (SKWA) Musical Theater Classes include drama, music and choreography. Learn from experienced teachers and performers while having FUN!

Our musical theater classes are focused on skill-development, not performance. They are not just for performers but for any child who wants to explore performing arts. Your child will learn how to express him or herself, gaining poise and self-confidence.  We encourage creativity and imagination!

Each session (Fall and Spring) SKWA offers a 4, 6, and 7 week theater arts classes to children & youth grades 1-8. These 30, 60 or 75 minute after-school classes will be held at the Numerica Performing Arts Center (PAC). During the final week of classes, students will display a portion of what they've learned by participating in a “Class Act” for their families.

“Class Act”
Showcase Information

Theater is an art form, so change and evolution is encouraged! At Stage Kids, we are growing and developing new ways to meet the needs of our students, families and community.

Our “Class Act” is an opportunity for kids to share what they’ve been learning in their classes. With over 100 students attending this fall, we will have more time for each class to share by having the friends and family attend on the final evening of each class rather than everyone coming together for one huge event.

Please note your child’s last day of class, then mark your calendar to attend the last 30 minutes of their class so they can show you what they’re learning!

Stage Kids Shows

Come see a Show! Or join the cast!

Stage Kids shows are called Spotlight Productions—performed every year during spring and fall. Spotlight Productions are always appropriate for your entire family and are an excellent way to introduce your children to the arts at a young age!

Students (Grade 3-8) who are enrolled in classes are eligible to register to be in a Broadway-style musical! Everyone who registers is cast in our shows, but space is limited.

Thoroughly Modern Millie JR.

Wenatchee’s first
Stage Teens show!

Based on the Tony Award-winning musical and Academy Award-winning film, a small town girl searches for a new life under the bright lights of 1920s New York City.

Filled with fun flappers, dashing leading men and a villainess audiences will love to hate, Thoroughly Modern Millie JR. is a clever adaptation of the six-time-Tony-Award-winning Best Musical and the Academy Award-winning film. Thoroughly Modern Millie JR., is the high-spirited musical romp that has all of New York dancing the Charleston!

It’s 1922 in New York City, and a young Millie Dillmount has just moved to the Big Apple in search of a new life. Her grand plan is to find a job as a secretary for a wealthy man and then marry him. However, her plan goes completely awry. Millie’s wealthy boss is slow in proposing marriage, and the man she actually falls in love with doesn't have a dime to his name – or so he tells her. What’s a small town girl to do?

Elf Jr.

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
