Stage Kids Classes

Theater fun starts here!

Stage Kids WA (SKWA) Musical Theater Classes include drama, music and choreography. Learn from experienced teachers and performers while having FUN!

Our musical theater classes are focused on skill-development, not performance. They are not just for performers but for any child who wants to explore performing arts. Your child will learn how to express him or herself, gaining poise and self-confidence.  We encourage creativity and imagination!

In order to be eligible for an elective class, you must first have completed Musical Theater 1 and Musical Theater 2 classes.

Each session (Fall and Spring) SKWA offers 4, 6, 7, or 8 week theater arts classes to children & youth grades Kinder-8. These 30, 60, 75, or 90 minute after-school classes will be held at the Numerica Performing Arts Center (PAC). During the final week of classes, students will display a portion of what they've learned by participating in a “Class Act” for their families.

*Need financial assistance? We offer scholarships for up to 50% off tuition cost to qualifying applicants. Applications are due no later than 15 days after registration opens.

To apply:

  • Register your child for the program (pay 50% of the tuition fee plus registration fees).
  • After receiving your registration confirmation email, select "Manage Your Online Account."
  • Log in to your online account.

“Class Act”
Showcase Information

Theater is an art form, so change and evolution is encouraged! At Stage Kids, we are growing and developing new ways to meet the needs of our students, families and community.

Our “Class Act” is an opportunity for kids to share what they’ve been learning in their classes. With over 100 students attending this fall, we will have more time for each class to share by having the friends and family attend on the final evening of each class rather than everyone coming together for one huge event.

Please note your child’s last day of class, then mark your calendar to attend from 5:00-5:45pm so they can show you what they’re learning (subject to change)!

Stage Kids Shows

Come see a Show Or join the cast!

Stage Kids shows are called Spotlight Productions—performed every year during spring and fall. Spotlight Productions are always appropriate for your entire family and are an excellent way to introduce your children to the arts at a young age!

Students (Grade 4-8) who are enrolled in classes are eligible to register to be in a Broadway-style musical! Everyone who registers is cast in our shows, but space is limited.

*Need financial assistance?  We offer scholarships for up to 50% off tuition cost to qualifying applicants. Applications are due no later than 15 days after registration opens.

Stage teens presents: fame jr

The pop culture phenomenon about the legendary New York High School of the Performing Arts lives forever.

Fame JR. features a high energy, contemporary pop score (which includes the hit title song) and a touching coming-of-age story.

Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts in the early 1980s, Fame JR. is the bittersweet, but ultimately inspiring, story of a diverse group of students who commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today.

Bah HUmbug!

Come share the magic of this wonderful musical adaptation of everyone’s favorite Christmas classic! Bill Francoeur’s original music beautifully accompanies this uplifting retelling, enriched with ample female roles.

’Bah, Humbug!’ Ebenezer sings, dooming himself to visits from three Christmas spirits. With the first ghost, he sees his sister Fanny as they sing ’One Last Christmas.’ Next, Scrooge is taken to the home of his employee, Beth Cratchit, where Tiny Tim sings ’God Bless Us, Everyone.’ Finally, Scrooge watches as the entire town celebrates with ’He’s Dead and Buried!’ Ebenezer’s revelation that ’Life Was Meant to Live’ brings a heart-warming conclusion to Dickens’s beloved tale.
